Kremlin says has no plans for new privatization

MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- There are no plans to start a new privatization in Russia, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday commenting on a statement by VTB CEO Andrei Kostin that privatization was needed to finance the priority projects.

"The Kremlin is not discussing this, but, of course, all economists, all experts and authoritative participants of economic life of the country and the banking sector are naturally discussing various topics connected with acceleration of economic development of the country in the conditions that we have found ourselves," Peskov told reporters.

He added that Kostin's point of view was interesting.
